About Rick
I have been taking pictures of people since I was about 8 years old with a little Montgomery Ward camera that used 127 roll film. I could only afford to buy one roll of film at a time back then and only rarely could I afford to get that roll developed and printed. I would often wait months before the magic of the photos that I had created was finally revealed. The old days of film cameras helped me hone my skills over my lifetime as I continued to capture the magical moments in time at family gatherings and the parties at the houses of my friends. I have always been captivated by the magic of film and the art of photography as I pursued other "more profitable" interests in radio then TV and then working with computers.
The years passed and my skills as a photographer grew as I attended various classes with masters of photography from Time and Life magazines, and the Crealde Art School. Then one day not all that long ago, I was asked to photograph a wedding for the very first time. WOW! What a wonderful experience. The true passion of my life was finally revealed. Photography is indeed what I was meant to do with my life and so now I share that with you. I have been blessed with a gift to be able to see and capture the moments in time that define who we are. I expose with light and shadow the inner soul of you, my client.
My journey does not end there. I have joined with other master photographers to continue my studies in order to create beautiful works of portrait art and capture for all time the beauty, poignancy and yes even the irony of our lives.
